JORDAN M. KEUSCH is the founder and managing partner of JMKPA, a South Florida law firm focused on effective and economical appellate advocacy and litigation support. A veteran attorney with significant experience litigating complex commercial, construction and other civil matters from inception through trial and appeal, Jordan now focuses his practice on appeals and litigation support in civil matters in both state and federal courts.
A member of the Florida Bar since 1994, Jordan has spent most of his legal career working for a major international law firm and prominent South Florida boutique firms, where he represented a diverse clientele ranging from large multinational corporations to small local businesses and individuals in complex litigation both in South Florida's courts as well as courts across the country.
For the past fifteen years, Jordan’s practice has primarily involved appeals and litigation support, including brief writing, complex motion practice, and consultation regarding preservation of error and trial strategy issues. Jordan also has served as an expert opining on the reasonableness of appellate attorneys' fee awards in Florida state courts.
Before establishing JMKPA in October 2011, Jordan spent eight years as senior counsel at a prominent local construction litigation boutique. There he handled the firm’s appellate and complex motion practice litigation, including all of the substantive motion and brief writing in one of the largest multi-party construction defect cases ever filed in South Florida.
Jordan is admitted to practice in the courts of the State of Florida (1994), the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida (1995), the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit (1995), and the Supreme Court of the United States of America (2013). Jordan also has been admitted pro hac vice in various state and federal courts across the country throughout his career.
Jordan is a native Floridian, graduating from Miami Palmetto Senior High School in 1987. He attended Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts, graduating cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in history in 1991. At Brandeis, Jordan played defense and goalie on the men’s club lacrosse team and was a sports writer for the campus newspaper, The Justice. Jordan attended the University of Miami School of Law, graduating magna cum laude in 1994. There he served as the Editor-in-Chief of the University of Miami School of Law Entertainment and Sports Law Review and was selected for membership in the Order of the Coif, Phi Delta Phi and Society of Bar & Gavel honorary societies.
Jordan and his family live in Pinecrest, Florida. Jordan is active in the South Florida lacrosse community, having served as a coach for the Panthers Middle School Lacrosse club and the Miami Palmetto Senior High boys' varsity lacrosse programs as well as a coach and director for the Miami Stone Crabs club.
